Inaugural Ceremony of the 7th International Multidisciplinary Research Conference 2022 was held at Baragali on Tuesday. The theme of the conference was post covid-19 global prosperity through research and sustainable development.
The conference hosted by Sarhad University Peshawar with the assistance of partner universities i.e. Shaheed Benazir University Peshawar, Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan and EMS, Peshawar.
The conference will be remain continued till 28th July, 2022. 180 research scholars across the country will present their research papers in the moot on different topics, while 30 posters presentation have also been displayed for review of the visitors. Two keynote speeches will also be delivered by Professors of Wisconsin University and Massachussets University delivered in the event.
The vice chancellor of Sarhad University Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Salim ur Rahman, Vice Chancellor Shaheed Benazir Women University, Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Safia Ahmad, Vice Chancellor Laki Marwat University, Prof. Dr. Aurangzeb Khan, Pro Vice Chancellor, Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan, Dr. Saeed Islam, Former Vice Chancellor Shaheed Benazir Women University, Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana, Faculty Members of different Universities, Researchers, Presenters, Educationist, Academicians and a large number students from all over Pakistan participated in moot.
The speakers of the inaugural ceremony emphasized upon the need of more investment in higher education to flourish the culture of research and development. They demanded of the higher education commission of Pakistan to allocate sufficient fund for R&D activities to pave way for the progress of the country. They were of the view that all the developed nations of the world made progress after adopting modern approach of science and technology. They urged upon the students to adopt fear policies in their life. Observe merit, equality, justice, open mindedness and honesty are the real ingredients to lead peaceful life, they added.
Earlier, while presenting address of welcome the organizing secretary of the conference, Prof. Dr. Habib ur Rahman inform the participants that holding conferences on annual basis is a regular feature of Sarhad University. He said that such conferences expand research base in the Universities and provide solutions to the problems common man.
Prof. Dr. Salim ur Rahman on this occasion presented University Shields to the Vice Chancellors of Partner Universities.
Later on, a monsoon tree plantation campaign was carried out in the Bara Gali Campus, wherein all the visiting Vice Chancellors of different Universities planted saplings of araucaria.
