Inter-Universities Speech Competition-2023 was held in Sarhad University in collaboration with Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA), Peshawar.
Nine Universities of Private Sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Sarhad University, Peshawar, Qurtuba University, Peshawar, Preston University, Kohat, Northern University, Nowshera, Gandhara University, Peshawar, City University, Peshawar, CECOS University, Peshawar, Abasyn University, Peshawar and Iqra National University, Peshawar took part in the Competition.
Speech Competition was held among the students of Nine Universities, wherein student of Northern University, Nowshera, Mr. Waheed Gul grabbed first position, Ms. Muskan Shahid of Iqra National University, Peshawar got 2nd position and Ms. Sana Khurshid, student of Sarhad University, Peshawar achieved 3rd position in the competition. Ms. Umme Hani of Northern University, Nowshera was given the consolation prize.
Mr. Fazal Qadir, Chairman, Higher Education Regulatory Authority (HERA), Peshawar was the Chief Guest while Prof. Dr. Salim-ur-Rehman, Vice Chancellor, SUIT, Vice President, Iqra National University, Prof. Dr. Shah Jehan, and Ms. Saleha Zakir Shah, Director, NACTA, Islamabad participated as Guests of Honour. Dr. Yasar Kamal, Prof. Sardar Ali and other high ranking Officials of HERA, Peshawar were also present on this occasion.
The Deans/HoDs/Sectional Heads of other Universities were also present on this occasion. Engr. Muhammad Faisal, Assistant Professor/Coordinator was the Chief Organizer of the function.
At the end of competition, prize distribution ceremony was held. Chairman, HERA, Vice Chancellor, SUIT, Vice-President, Iqra National University, Representative NACTA and other Guests distributed prizes/certificates/shields among the students/organizers.
