Winning second Prize in a competition held by the Ministry of Water Resources in Islamabad, Pakistan

The Pakistan Council of Research in Water Resources (PCRWR) under the umbrella of the Ministry of Water Resources in collaboration with the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) has jointly organized the Pakistan Water Week 2022 under the theme “Role of Water-Food-Energy and Ecosystem Nexus for a Climate Resilient Pakistan” and conducted on 27 October 2022 at PCRWR Headquarters, Khayaban-e- Johar, Sector H-8/1, Islamabad.

PCRWR has invited Final Year Project Students all over of Pakistan under the Theme: Water Conservation / Water Quality / Water Resources Management / Wastewater Treatment/ Environment/ Pollution / Agriculture. Moreover, there were 31 final year projects selected from various universities in Pakistan. Among these final year projects, the department of Computer Science and IT -SUIT Peshawar project has been selected under the title of "Development of the Smart Irrigation System based on Real-Time Data for Sustainable Agriculture in Pakistan" and is being supervised by Dr. Fasee Ullah, Associate ProfessorSarhad University of Science and IT won the second prize, which included a cash prize of Rs. 15000, shield, and certificates.

Winning this national competition among selected projects from across Pakistan is an honor for the Sarhad University of Science and IT, particularly the Computer Science and IT department. This competition victory encourages students to participate in additional event.
